SSI or PADI Rescue Course in Phuket

The PADI Rescue Diver course is often described as one of the most challenging, yet rewarding, scuba diving certifications available. It’s designed to equip divers with the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and manage diving emergencies, as well as to assist fellow divers in distress. And, one more thing, you will have a lot of fun during this course!

First day of the course you will spend in the pool learning basic rescue skills. Here in ACDC Diving we combine morning pool session with the afternoon Emergency First Responce training in the dive center.  On a second day you will go to Racha Islands to do 3 boat dives and master surface and underwater skills.

What you will learn during Rescue Course in Phuket

Theory and Knowledge Development. The course begins with self-study using the PADI Rescue Diver manual and accompanying videos. You’ll learn about dive-related medical emergencies, accident prevention, and how to recognize and respond to various diving incidents. Topics include stress management, emergency equipment, and diver assistance techniques.

Rescue Skills Development. During confined water sessions, you’ll practice essential rescue skills under the guidance of our PADI Instructor. These skills include self-rescue techniques, assisting tired or panicked divers, and managing unconscious or unresponsive divers both at the surface and underwater.

Scenario-Based Training. One of the highlights of the PADI Rescue Diver course is the scenario-based training. You’ll participate in simulated diving emergencies where you’ll apply the skills and knowledge you’ve learned in realistic scenarios. This hands-on approach helps build confidence and reinforces effective decision-making in stressful situations.

Emergency Management and First Aid. The course includes training in first aid and CPR, with a focus on responding to dive-related injuries and illnesses. You’ll learn how to assess and stabilize injured divers, provide basic life support, and coordinate emergency assistance with local medical facilities if needed.

Equipment Familiarization. You’ll become familiar with various emergency equipment commonly used in rescue situations, such as oxygen delivery systems, first aid kits, and emergency signaling devices. Learning how to properly deploy and use this equipment is essential for effective emergency response.

Teamwork and Communication. Effective teamwork and communication are essential for successful rescue operations. Throughout the course, you’ll practice coordinating with dive buddies and other rescue team members to manage diving emergencies safely and efficiently. Clear communication both underwater and at the surface is emphasized to ensure everyone’s safety.
